Using Black Mesa assets in Hammer?

I don’t know if this is the correct forum for this, sorry if it isn’t.

What is the most optimal Hammer set up for running things using Black Mesa assets and then running those maps in Black Mesa?

I am still learning Hammer and I could use a little push while I work on some custom stuff that I thiink Black Mesa would help me with. What is the best way to get all the materials, entities, models and what not into Hammer so I can start making good custom Black Mesa content?
