Most people who buy those masks are either anon or just like the film, it has nothing to do with Guy Fawkes.

How about a “V” mask, because it is the mask that the character named “V” wears for the entire movie? After all, it’s got nothing to do with 4channers and wannabe anarchist highschoolers idolizing Guy Fawkes for “sticking it to the man” as depicted in the popular film, so why even bring his name into it at all?
I should have worn my mask today though I couldn’t find it. Couldn’t find it last week either when my school allowed us to dress up in Halloween costumes.
If you said to a normal person in this country “V-for-vendetta” masks, they’d be confused. Its all about guy fawks epic fail. Nothing to do with 4chan’s epic fail.
