I dreamed I was lucid dreaming a few times, but I wasn’t really.

It hasn’t been constant driving (although it has seemed like it). I do have occasional destinations here and there.

Last night I dreamed that I was doing parkour, I was jumping all over the place, it was awesome, kinda like mirror’s edge but more realistic, except for the fact that I could jump like 20meters high and if I remember correctly, I wasn’t running away from anyone.
edit: on a different subject, I recently installed ubuntu on a 8GB SDHC card from kodak, I deleted the swap partition of course, but people keep telling me scary numbers about the lifetime of these cards, some people say 1000 overwrites on one sector and it’s kaput, what does BM think on the subject?
FYI I have two identical 8gb SDHC cards, when the first one dies, I’m gonna start using the 2nd one, but if the lifetime is longer than I think, I might use both.

Well I sometimes have hearing hallucinations, and even visual hallucinations (but these don’t happen often, like twice in a year, maybe less), but I’d doubt it’s related. Anyway I wish I remembered my dreams, seems fun. But the good side is, I don’t remember my nightmares either.

Well I can get hearing hallucinations anytime, including when I’m totally awake.
That’s probably just your imagination.

During REM sleep, your body’s supposed to enter a paralysed state to stop your body going through the motions, there is a condition where people don’t enter this state, and often end up beating the crap out of their bed-partners whilst flailing around acting out the stuff in their dreams. :fffuuu:
I had a hypnagogic/sleep-paralysis/weird moment a while back, which had the nice side effect of curing me of any belief in UFOs (as in little green men; I still happily accept that there are flying objects that cannot be classified on occasions, until they get close enough and you realise it is in fact a bird/plane/ICBM/torso/other random shit… but I digress…).
I woke up from a doze one morning to find that I was paralysed and that there was a Grey (you know, the x-files shit) looming over me. Was all very real and extremely unsettling, until I finally woke up properly enough to realise that I was looking at my lamp-shade from a slightly off-axis angle (which made it sort of inverted teardrop shaped and my brain, clever modelling hardware that it is, filled in the gaps).
I’m now quite happy in reckoning that about 100% of all close encounters of the 4th kind are, in fact, sleep paralysis/hypnagogia combined with failure to engage brain in any kind of rational and/or informed manner. Anyone with opinions to the contrary had better come to me with hard physical evidence that they’ve been probed by a Grey, or I’m just going to laugh cynically in their faces.:meh:
