I managed to get STALKER Clear Sky working.
I installed it on this computer again forced under XP SP2 compatibility, then installed it on another computer on this house that uses XP SP2, applied the 1.5.10 patch, then copied the files to my main PC and replaced the old ones, but not the registry.
Then applied the NO-DVD patch and it works.
At first I was like 
But then,
I lol’d
It isn’t that bad of a game actually.
It might be hard as fuck, and you the fact you can die in seconds aren’t nice, but it’s good to finally have a game that is genuinely hard for a change.
But I just got robbed by some bandits and now I’m broke.

I got robbed by 3 times in an hour when I was playing
I’ve come to realize it’s just the bandits at the junkyard place that seem to rob you.
But wow, when it gets dark, it fucking gets dark, and it’s not like a FO3 night that lasts 12 minutes it feels like its night for ages.
Yeah 3 seconds IRL = a minute in-game
I keep having this dream where I go to get my car out of a parking garage in New Jersey, and when I come out of it I am in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget hotel and casino.
I keep having the same dream, only the casino is Luxor.
Yeah I got robbed twice by those kinds of bandits, and the once by the storyline, where it takes your shit away for like 2 minutes BUT DOESN’T GIVE YOUR GOD DAMN MONEY BACK.
Yeah, I’m up to the part where you have to turn on the pumps in the water station or something in the tunnel to stop the mutants.

I’ve always loved S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for its combat. The fact that a simple pistol is technically just as effective in combat as an AK-74 with a grenade launcher on it is amazing. You can take out an entire squad armed with F2000’s with a Makarov if you can aim well.
Well a bullet’s a bullet, eh?
I spent the day shooting old computer parts with a friend, we used a 22caliber air rifle with real lead ammo…
We broke 2 garbage bags worth of PC parts, pepsi cans and an iTunes CD. 
BTW one of the first shots, even before adjusting the scope, I shot the BIOS chip right off the board, shattering it. That was funny.
Say that to Metrocops, or half of video gaming’s enemies. It takes an assload of headshots to kill most enemies in pretty much any game.
