Oh look, another uncharted game…
There are never enough Uncharted games actually.
the movie will suck… =/
The “Sands of Time” adaptation was actually rather well done, for my money. Good video game remakes are rather rare on the whole, but if they put in the effort they could have something.
Casting for these types of hack-job movies isn’t done to make the movie good, or for the character’s sake. Marky Mark was probably cast because a chart somewhere showed that he and five other actors would attract the most people from x demographic, and Wahlberg was the one who happened to be available. It’s not about hiring the best – or cheapest – actor in town with a movie like this. This was just made by development team and handed off to a director-for-hire, it’s no one’s passion project.
Anyway, yeah, it was just a matter of time before this was announced, and there will probably be 8 or 9 more of these games as long as they’re successful.
I haven’t played the full version of either (maybe when I get paid I’ll pick them up?) but the controls in the demos sucked. I guess I could get used to a crappy control scheme, I’ve done it before, but still, if the controls suck, it sorta doesn’t make you want to keep playing the game. Hell, that’s why I gave up on beating Armored Core 3 Portable. Great game, but the controls simply don’t work without the L2/R2 buttons.
You’re the first person I’ve seen that complains about the controls of the games. Why do you hate them?
I like the controls but the character movement is a little too jerky. I can’t count the amount of times I was near a cliff only to fall off because I knocked the analog stick.
There are only two… You can only make that joke if the series has had a full trilogy already.
burn the heretic
To be fair Max Payne was just a terrible movie. Mark Wahlberg is a decent actor imo. We Own the Night, Boogie Nights, Departed, Four Brothers, The Italian Job, Planet of the Apes and The Yards were all pretty good movies. Hopefully the director isn’t complete shit.
NO. The PoP movie was beyond terrible and it should have never been made.
I’d have to play the demos again to be able to tell you. I’ll download them again this week and let you know.
Fuck yeah!
Can’t wait for the trailer.
Uncharted 3 will be in 3D =D
Earlier today, we brought you some of the first details of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. However, the happy train hasn’t stopped rolling yet.
This evening, we’ve got three screenshots for you to check out, official word that the game will support stereoscopic 3D, as well as news that de facto late-night-video-game dude Jimmy Fallon, will be hosting the devs from Naughty Dog on his show Monday, Dec 13th to show off the first gameplay footage from U3.
Hit the EBA Gallery to check out the first screens from Uncharted 3 and don’t miss DK on the Spike VGA awards on Dec 11th for the debut trailer from Drake’s Deception. Did you just buy a fresh piggy bank to start saving for Uncharted 3? Let us know in the comments!

I want to stop watching Jimmy Fallon, because he just isn’t funny enough consistently enough, but he is the only late night talk show host that has video game premieres.
(I’m just bugged by some of the bits he does every fucking week that usually aren’t funny/cool/etc)
Maxey, I played both demos yesterday, and I take back my argument about the controls being bad. They’re not. I’m just annoyed that PS3 developers tend to put fine aim and fire on L1 and R1, (with no option to change them) when I’m more used to them being on the triggers on the 360 controller.
Then again, the PS3 actually has decent shoulder buttons, unlike the LB and RB buttons the 360 has.
The trigger buttons on the Dualshock 3 are terrible anyway. Your fingers slip easily out of them if you hold them for some time.
Yeah, they do seem pretty bad most of the time. My biggest complaint is that they feel too loose, but yeah, the shape worked fine on the PS1 and PS2 when they weren’t analog. Hopefully Sony comes up with something good for the next Dualshock.
