You mean like a developer spending alot of money on a game and then sending it out to the public for free.
I don’t think so.
Unless you count a really old game a developer made before made free like Bethesda’s Daggerfall.

You all realize F2P means drop in quality of games produced right?
F2P
Free 2 Pirate
My hours of playtime put into Blacklight and Tribes say no.
Not necessarily, afterall they want it to be fun, so you pay either for shit you don’t need or shit you need to advance ingame.
What bothers me is, that even if you want to play it you’re forced to buy every weapon or unit to see or use everything.
Very seldomly let’s a F2P title you play the whole thing without having to buy missions, gear, or anything else to that length.
Even if the piracy figures where real, hardly surprising, they are the only publisher I know who keeps high prices regardless of how old the game is… take a look at Modern Warfare 1… still a high price for how old it is, and so on
You’re thinking of Activision, not Ubisoft.
Seriously, I must admit, Ubisoft are, since the days of POP:SOT, and Far Cry, one of my very favorite PC game devs and publishers, I can’t understand HOW THE HECK anyone can believe that their games are ~95% pirated??? I honestly haven’t pirated a single Ubisoft title , and I don’t plan to! Therefore, I personally believe, that these “Piracy figures” are completely out of the @$$ of someone…???
He’s actually thinking of EA’s pricing stretegy, with their CEO saying sales cheapening IP and other bullshit.
