Two Freeware Games I made.

Since this is to show off our creations I thought I share two freeware games I made…

It is a puzzle game where you have to align bombs and rockets to cause a chain reaction of explosions.

…and, well, I of course provide some statements from other players (hence the show off):

"…it is so god damn professionally made!"

“I love this game ! It’s great ! Good Picture , amazing art ,very awesome game.”

“really nice game, near perfection.”

“I like the music…”

“Lovely, lovely game!”

“The style is just right. I enjoy the characters presented.”

"This game is magnificent! I love puzzle games and this one is just great… "

"The graphics are spot on, the sound effects are perfect and the gameplay is entertaining… "

“The gameplay is really intuitive - you know what to do immediately.”

“I particularly like the change of pace introduced by the forest level!”

Attention:
It is made for a competition and might be playable on the PSP soon. That’w why it has such a low resolution (You can go fullscreen though) and navigation and everything is done with the cursor-keys and space/or STRG.

Download it here (Win only):

I will post the other game later. Sun is shining and I want to go outside first.

not bad, but the key assignment sucks

Another Duke Nukem clone.

Great.

The problem was, that the competition rules forced me to use the cursor keys and Space/STRG.

That is Rodebrecht Reuenegg in the pic.

Well, he prefers to be named Rod Ravage.

Hey. THis game is released, isn’t it?

I think fuegerstef just won.

It is a mixture of Dr. Mario and PuyoPuyo with this:

never mind, he lost again. :hmph:

Dude needs to get laid.

Happily married.

Dude needs to get laid.

one word
TITS

I’m pretty sure that’s the basis of the entire game.

You guys seriously are, well, dicks.

What language did you do those in?

On an side, it never surprises me how oblivious most people are about how much sheer programming experience it takes to make even the smallest game.

…OR maybe they’re just dicks, as spooboy put it.

Hey, we are on an Internet forum. THis was to be expected.

The game is 4 years old and was created for a PC-Gamiing magazine (for the Cover DVD). Funnily It also was the COver that got featured at a booth in the first Hall of Europes biggest gaming evend (GC back then). Cool to see your own game there before evey other game. >

For money I program games for the biggest publisher of children books and media in Germany. Then my other clients are Tetra Pak, Lucky Strike, HP and others.

When I mapped for UT2004 people said the maps were as professional as the retail content.

So … let them have their little success with a single, dickish forum post which might make them feel good. I have my success with programming games (for free or for clients) and mapping … and well, my wife and even other women have no problem with the game.

I do a lot of different languages/dev-environements.

Mobile Bomb Squad was done in Game Maker. I learned that because of of the competition the game was for. So MBS is the first I made with that environment as Ithought that competition would be a nice reason to learn it.

Hooters was done in Director and was mainly for my artist to learn the “Whoops” style of artist Armando Huerta.

If I made a game about wallpaper that was really functional, had photo-realistic graphics, I wouldn’t expect anyone to congratulate me. I’d expect the same if I made some game about tits for pubescent boys. Doesn’t matter if it’s coded really well, it doesn’t stop it being pathetic.

Part of me died a little in this thread.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
