Make sure not to do it shorty before bed. It isn’t a good idea to get your heart rate up and then try to sleep.
I feel a little apprehensive about saying this, but, if I’m super desperate (and a little sick, just to justify it) I’ll pop a couple of antihistamines and that usually does the trick.
Before resorting to that, however, do increase your physical activity as elevenbravo said, and try to identify causes of stress in your life and abandon them.
most causes of stress are things that you can’t just drop and walk away from
if i did that i wouldnt get out of bed ever
I just cut out about ten people from my life in the past six months and I’m walking on air.
I work out six days a week (most weeks, hurricane Sandy has made sure that I am malnourished, so I haven’t been exorcising this week).
I also have only stress that pertains to my general life, and I don’t see any way of reducing it. I already dropped the dead-weight from my social groups. I can’t find a new job (I have been looking, and quite honestly aside from the one architect I get rented out to every now and again, my work is pretty stress free when i get paid on time).
Then see a doc, I got meds for my insomnia because none of the basic shit worked.
