Tripmine Issue [Fixed]

So I was playing through the game, reached Surface Tension, the part where you have to avoid touching any of the tripmines.
One tripmine was set on a crate, when I destroyed the crate, the tripmine was still working, just hovering in the air.
I’m not sure if it’s with this one only or with all tripmines.

The proper question is why would you risk blowing that dang missile up by destroying the crate?!

But yeah, that’s weird…

this bug also happens in HL2DM with SLAMs.

There is no way to fix it. It has to do with the (horrible) way source does physics

Well, they could add a trigger that activates when it takes damage to simulate the box exploding and tripping the same trigger that would usually cause the building to go boom.

Or they could make the box unbreakable. I encountered this myself today

too.

This bug was also in the PS2 version of HL1. I had fun making all the mines hover, eh.
Maybe it was made on purpose to “remind” the original? I dunno.
