Tribute to the Half Life Beta (ie: Space Bikers and freaky looking security guards)

Ok,most of you know of the old ALPHA (Beta?) screenshots published for Half Life before it became what it is today.

For example, Gordon’s very very bearded appearence. Or Barney’s almost skeletal facial features. Need less to say, they had a much more comic based appearence than today. But still, would it not be fun to have a category of scientist and Securit Guard featuring facs resembling thoce of the BETA designs?

The Team have their own ‘Face Maker’ tool, so these sorts of tributes are not going to happen. Also it’s a little late in development for this to be included, even if it were a good idea.

I like this idea, those head shapes could be used as morphs in the face maker so that a few random security guards would have Otis’ fat head, or the skeletor one. And a single random scientist would have a gigantic square beard. It would be hilarious!

Suppose it comes back to the 4th wall discussed in the other thread, would be a bit jarring to see ivan walking along. But I like the idea nonetheless :smiley:

To all the comments, well, I was thinking of a more realistic looking Ivan, and such. Not insane faced people, just things that resembles these faces…

Speaking of which. Was the beta of HL1 ever released (leaked)?
I’ve seen videos of it before, and I would love to get my hands on it.
