Tram animation!!

BMRF has government funding. They have no need to use their own money for silly little gadgets.

Can I just add into this thread:
Some ideas from Doom3 are good, like the click to open door with the mouse cursor, but over use of that idea is just dry and boring. If it’s used only on the tram that will be great. I also disliked in doom3 how the edge of the cursor somehow moved out of the monitor and onto the casing surrounding it :fffuuu:

With T-Minus 3 months before release, I’d just like to say we have tons of time and we are totally planning on implementing every single suggestion in this thread B)

Fixed, amirite? :stuck_out_tongue:

Tha’s January! :fffuuu:

For God’s sake, he was only joking, based on the title of the thread (90 days = three months, duh).

What makes you think I was serious, dude? I even placed a bet on another thread that the mod would be released this year. I have confidence in the team, don’t worry.

I’d just like to say that it is common to post “We no longer accept any additional suggestions” when you no longer want to accept any suggestions.

Just like you would put a poster “Applications are now closed” on the door of a university assistant’s office if you wanted to prevent annoying “Would you take my application into consideration?” questions.

Keeping the Suggestions forum opened and then whining about how it annoys you when people suggest to you that you should drop the stupid Doom3 panel from the tram, when you only recently decided to let us know that you plan on using that stupid idea in this mod – that’s really quite hyppocritical (sorry for misspelling).

I became used to Raminator’s arrogant behavior, but why do you have to repeat it after him?

but what if there is still a good suggestion that comes up that is easy to impliment and everyone loves it? We dont want to squeltch the creativity. do we? do we?

The existence of the suggestion box doesn’t guarantee anything about the suggestions made in it being considered anyway. You could argue it exists only as a way to keep all the inevitable suggestions in one place simply to make the rest of the forum more useful, as much or more than for the reason of making it easy for devs to review and consider suggestions.

Finds that all of the suggestions actually fuel Raminator’s Hummerang D:

Catz, Raw_bean: I understand. That’s why I was shocked by nated’s comment.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
