To me the older MP5 with holosight looks more like a custom FPSbanana model, the newer version looks more professional.
The new design makes it look like a real firearm, that shoots bullets. The previous one looked like a space gun, that shoots technobabble.
Personally I liked the old one better.
But space guns shooting technobabble are fun! :’(
I like both designs and honestly do not care which makes it in. Besides, I’m sure a skin which makes it look like the previous version will be made eventually.

On the topic of gibs, i’d much rather play with them OFF for human characters. i just don’t like how NPCs break at the same points when they gib. it’s almost like all NPCs are sewn together like dolls. if at any point they’re “blown up”, all of their limbs break off at the joint; an arm over there, a leg over here, a torso down there. So far it all just seems so un-natural looking. (keeping in mind that all we’ve seen is a test video)
As for aliens, i wouldn’t mind blowing up a few Houndeyes. THAT was convincing, considering how small and frail their little legs were to begin with.
So to stick with the topic, i DON’T want to see gibs like Unreal and Quake; unrealistic gobs of flesh that look like ham. Make use of some gory blood sprays if you’re going to gib something. Don’t just make limbs pop off like a Mr.PotatoHead.
