The Vortigaunts' Posture

He sounds great indeed!

I’ve cut JarAxe’s sounds up for personal use. That’s what it sounds like

Great!

But when u hit them with the crowbar, they sound metallic …

Well, that’s how the standard script works. Even though there’s a fix, I decided to keep it oldschool.
Anyway, back to the topic

guess what a fucking crowbar is made of

If metal hits metal, but I don’t think a Vort has a head out of metal :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe it’s just really hard.

Back on topic.

Wait, posture or the voice? Or just improving the Vorts as a whole?

Well, I’m going to be taking some classes in Maya/ Zbrush(hopefully) this semester. I’m not quite a stranger to Maya, and I’ve done shitloads of 3d sculpting in the past in Mudbox/ sculptris, so it shouldn’t become that much of an issue. I’ll see if I can get some new normal maps going for this mf.

Maybe I’ll try making new shackles too.

Well, the topic is the voice/posture/overhaul, anything to improve the current Vorts as they stand. I’ve done abit of sculpting in Mudbox myself, haven’t touched too much Zbrush though. Good luck with it!

https://students.autodesk.com/… before you buy the software, just register your e-mail the school gave you and then install it on your machine. License is valid for 3 years I believe.

Bump! Any progress on this Xalener?

College lol

That’s fair enough. But if you do it I’ll love you long time and grant you an immunity from being banned!

ooh that’s a good deal

think of all the things you can do

Yell at old people.

yell at chairs with old people

I just really want a replacement for the Vorts, the more I play BM the less I like them.

Yeah, the vorts always seemed incomplete in BM to me. This thread made me realise exactly why that is.

What I miss in BM is the vorts saying “ouY kcuF” all the time.
