The Unofficial Official Chat Thread

Ooh, never thought of that, thanks!

On a side note: you don’t need to be specifically warned about trolling by a mod’s comment in a thread. Trolling isn’t acceptable on a case by case basis - it’s always wrong.

Well, now you don’t have to watch anyone hanging by their tongue.

You say that like it’s a good thing.

AFAIK, no member has ever been hung by his tongue on The Black Mesa Community Forums. I am a true Scotsman, unlike your pirate, who is made from straw.

Maybe you can explain to me why spamming advertisements only warrants a 7 day ban and whatever “abuse” is lands you 30 days in the pen?

Abuse is wrong, unless you abuse yourself.

Spamming advertising is a standard offense that carries a 3 point infraction as determined by the system. Accruing 3 infraction points carries an automatic 7 day ban by the system. All the temp bans, except the Abuse ban, are automatic system bans resulting from accumulated infraction points. The 30 day ban for Abuse was for a guy who went on a flaming misogynistic, pro-rape rant. He’s lucky it was me and not someone else, or he likely would have been permabanned.

The bottom line here is, don’t troll, don’t flame, don’t break the rules, and there won’t be any problems.

You really want someone like that to remain in the community?

Are you talking about the guy that mentioned in his signature that he saved girls from being raped by staying in for the night? Or something like that?

I don’t decide who remains in the community and who doesn’t, I just act to enforce rules and regulate behavior in cases like that. The fact I may or may not disagree with something doesn’t play into to how I exercise my discretion when I’m acting as moderator.

No

Ads. Ads everywhere.

Ah, that’s right, they prefer the Colombian necktie here.

Grow your peni 6 inches longer !

I love that music - so retro. It hadn’t been on the homepage in a long time. To me, that’s the Black Mesa theme.

no offense to the webhost, it was inevitable lol

This is the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen:

You will say “But Tiki, we have seen quarantine suits before, and we get it: The world is a dangerous place in which to live. How does that qualify as creepy?

But this is different. This is a suit to quarantine the wearer from contaminating the world.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
