What I meant was that it might have been because of them not making enough money, which BF3 might have been able to fix, though I don’t know the exact reason. Publishers don’t care about the quality of the game if it sells well. Even if they made shitty games that isn’t a reason for them to be shut down in the eyes of a publisher as long as it makes money.
Maybe Disney had this planned from the start and just took a while to finally do it.
Future SW games will all be licensed to other dev studios. I hope Raven gets another chance with a new Jedi Knight game. Their talent is being wasted on map packs for CoD.
Kind of a shame to see what used to be such a great studio finally go, but at this point it feels like a mercy killing more than anything else.
Pretty much everything they’ve released in the last five or so years has been shit, and pretty much every good game they’ve released since about 2000 was developed externally.
Makes me wonder what they’ll do with the Monkey Island license, though. Hopefully Telltale will be able to acquire it and we can finally get a second season of Tales, but that’s probably just wishful thinking.
Man, Raven’s forte really was JK. Heretic and Hexen aside, all their other stuff was pretty eh, but god damn JK2 was awesome.
They managed to made a high quality dark forces game that stood with the other two.

I just saw plans for the new World Trade Center tower #1. It has 500+ pages just for the architecturals, let alone, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

I hated Jedi Knight 2. Horrible level design, horrible AI, forced stealth, an anti-sniper mission right after getting your light sabre… What the fuck were they thinking?
I will still miss them despite their recent screw-ups.
