He’s the host / narrator. He reads from a script. Why is it important that he is the authority on the various subject of the shows? I like that it makes scientific topics interesting for children, and it puts things in terms they can understand. Plus because I’m interested in some of the topics me and my daughter can watch it together.
Oh, I can imagine it being perfectly suitable for children, but for me it’s not very interesting.
Sure as hell beats what I usually have to watch for educational television. If I have to hear the Magic School Bus intro one more time…ugh.
That’s still going? :fffuuu:
That show was dead for like fifteen years :fffuuu:
I just finished watching Happy Feet with my husbando; basically sucked I think. Plot made no sense, all characters were shallow stereotypes, and it was stuffed with loads of popular songs to try to keep it afloat. I wonder if I should even bother looking for the second part.
EDIT: Holy smokes, I used to watch the Magic School Bus when I was a kid. It was great! Taught me a bunch of stuff… Of course I don’t remember anything anymore But still, it was pretty rad.
But it won a BAFTA :retard:
I wonder why. The sound of the penguin’s tapping feet wasn’t even in sync…
Now, related to educational shows, I suddenly remembered I used to LOVE Beakman’s World. Now I feel so damn old… I need a red convertible, pronto!
That middle part in the zoo was depressing as FUCK too. I was surprised at how far they pushed the limits of a children’s movie with that part of the movie. Terrible for all ages.
You know what was also a depressing movie in children comedy disguise? Click.
Fuck you, Adam Sandler.
did anyone see that horror movie the loved ones i saw it a few nights ago and i laughed
Click was fucking stupid no its cool dint leave the message in change the ending so it’s happy and fucking meaningless also adam sandler is shit also also click was not disguised as a kids movie in the slightest
Any movie Adam Sandler stars in is automatically childish.
That movie is on the tv like, right now :fffuuu:
Get out of here, wizard.
That movie should’ve ended with the emotional moment when he died. Simply pulling the “it was a dream” card is so cliche I almost puked.
yeah that’s what i meant about taking out the message it could have been a decent movie like hey don’t pass over little shit with important people in your life or you’ll regret it but NOPE JUST A DREAM
But it was a movie with Adam Sandler. He doesn’t do decent movies. That’s not his style.
I hear “Punch Drunk Love” is good. Haven’t seen it though.
You didn’t like happy Gilmore?? Or billy Madison?? Wtf
Happy Gilmore is fun, but stupid. Billy Madison is just stupid.
My favorite children’s-movie-scene which pushed the limits has gotta be Toy Story 3’s incinerator scene.
Correct. Despite it being a Sandler vehicle, it was never geared toward the pre-teen audience.
Really? That’s your response as to why you didn’t enjoy Billy Madison?

Plus, I think you forgot about Steve Buscemi’s character. He’s worth re-watching the entire film.
