well, you don’t know my friend :stuck_out_tongue:

also, markers on my map thingy are bigger now ^^

got a 404 when I wen’t to see it. :frowning:

In other news, this might just be my favorite picture on the whole internet now

that pic is such a crazy good metaphor for like the whole of colonialism its fuckin insane that it was taken sincerely

Just found out that the entire second season of Battlebots is on YouTube ! Sweet !

Just got my new wireless card and it’s working great, but there’s something kind of bothering or interesting me. My computer picked up the my internet signal before installing the drivers from the CD. I didn’t try connecting before installing the drivers, but it seemed to be working before then. Is that normal?

It’s normal.

What’s the point of the driver then :stuck_out_tongue: ?

In case you didn’t already have it.

And it may be a partially effective device with out the driver. There may be some features on your wireless card your OS won’t recognize automatically.

Does anyone know where I could download videos of entire Bonnaroo sets? I’d be fine with a collection of every performance even. I’d like 2011 but I can’t find much. I only can find 4 songs from the band I want on Youtube, out of their hour.

So my grand-mother died today. She’d been fighting with brain cancer for the last couple of months. Saw her a couple of days ago, we knew back then it was only a matter of hours. She went from being one of the most active person in the world, constantly cooking, cleaning, taking care of her garden, doing everything for my grand-father, to being completely paralyzed, not even being able to move a finger, in only a few months. It is the most heartbreaking thing I have ever experienced.

That’s awful man, sorry for your loss :frowning:

My grandmother died similarly last year. Although her’s started in the lungs and spread to the brain which killed her. She wasn’t the most active person but she was quite sharp and witty and the dementia certainly had its way with that. Although mind you I don’t get upset at death like most people do.

Make sure to be there for your grandfather though, because as sad as you may be he has it a shit load worse.

After many months of practice and waiting for the right time, my band finally gotta gig. We were worried that it would be shit, but it seems we blew everyone away. I was amazed haha

I just found out my brother has thyroid cancer. Not as fatal as brain cancer for sure, but the operation itself has a lot of risks. Performing and singing in his band is like his core passion, so it’d literally be the worst thing if his vocal cords were injured.

The real kicker, though, is that my parents aren’t even telling him he has cancer.

whaaat. what are they telling him? how old is he that they can even play him that way

He’s sixteen. All he knows right now is that he needs to have an operation on his thyroid and it most likely will have to come out.

sorry to hear that :frowning:

but yeah that’s just stupid, they should tell him imo

That’s what I said, but I am neither home nor in the mood to defy my parents’ wishes and tell him myself. They say that, since he’s just returning from a deep depression, they want to break it to him very slowly, since the word “cancer” has (understandably) a very negative connotation.

Though I do wonder how they will tell him, if at all. My father says that he knows “99% of the story, just not that he has cancer,” which sounded as ridiculous to me as it would to most of you, I assume. I hope they tell him before the surgery.
