The Unofficial Official Chat Thread

If this is the case, then I must be crazy too, because I’ve only managed to put down a fraction of the stories that happen in my head.

Speaking of writing, though, it’s utterly astounding how many plot holes I’ve managed to fix just by having a dragon fight an attack helicopter. :retard:

ooooooofffffffiiiiiiiccccccccciiiiiiiiiaaaaaaalllllllll

SarahDank, you may want to stop with the irrelevant, nonsense posts before you get banned or something.

You and I are very alike, Pyro. Same to you, Jokerine. PM me if you wanna discuss fictional writing.

You fix a lot of plot holes with dragons, too? :retard:

Seriously, though, thanks for the offer. I’m really starting to think that we should make a thread dedicated purely to writing fiction. anyone interested?

On fixing plot holes, since my story takes place in a scenario where multiple deities exist and interact with the characters, deus ex machina is always an option.

If you could get banned for that, there would only be 2 users with posting permissions, and they would be arguing about crouch-jumping.

After that we ban those 2 fuckers and unban everyone else.

People that have passionate feelings about crouch-jumping don’t need any more problems.

Divine intervention seems to me to be a lazy tactic, honestly, but whatever works for you. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, in some stories you just can’t be arsed. Whereas when I write something, I spend a ton of time researching moon physics, space elevators, robotics, etc.

Then again, I do have a 240 page game script that throws wyverns at powered armor being dragged through the sand jet-ski style by futuristic APCs…

That’s a really weird mental image.

Probably has fewer plot holes than the stuff I write, though.

Edit: you know, I tried researching stuff for the story I’m writing ATM, but it just got to be a nuisance after a while. There’s astonishingly little information on some of these things.

Divine intervention in line with an age old divine conspiracy.

Deus ex machina was a common thing in ancient Greek plays. So if you use it you can call yourself a writer in the classical style. Give it to 'em Greek style. Bitches love it when you give it to 'em Greek style.

…and get your mind out of the gutter. That paragraph was perfectly innocent.

Indeed, although my story is based on Mesopotamian religious lore.

Instead of gods, my current story has a self-aware terraforming supercomputer designed to encode DNA and clone lifeforms. It basically acts like it’s a deity.

Also it’s insane, but you can probably guess that much. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like SHODAN.

Reminds me of when Bender was drifting through space.

Except with cloning.

^ Every now and then, you have brief flirtations with reasonable pop culture choices. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I consider cracking a smile.

holy fuck im older than everyone in one direction

also winged one from two pages ago everything we get is from a dispensary so were always sure
