T-Rex’s were vegetarian.
have you seen the lettuce back then?
now it seems they are thinking they were more scavengers rather than hunters.
Most scientists agree that T. rex was both a scavenger and a predator.
There is evidence to suggest T. rex scavenged, but there’s also evidence in the form of healed T. rex bitemarks on Triceratops and Hadrosaur fossils that suggest it was a predator.
Also don’t forget that T. rex had forward facing eyes (binocular vision), this is not common among dinosaurs and usually seen in predators. If T. rex was a scavenger then surely it wouldn’t have evolved binocular vision.
The idea of it being a 100% scavenger is ridiculous anyway, there’s only one animal that does that today which is a Vulture.
Those who use the “its arms were too small” argument don’t understand how evolution works. T. rex survived for more than 2 million years, so clearly it didn’t need arms. It had one of the most powerful jaws in the history of life, just like sharks and crocodiles it used brute force to kill prey without ever needing hands (not to mention it was the largest predator at that time and its prey were all big slow herbivores).
So T-rex is a scavenger this week? T-rex goes from being a Super fast lethal carnivore killer to being a super slow vegitarian and then becomes a super slow carnivore again to then being an average speed scavenger?
We need to clone some dinosaurs ASAP so that scientists can get their shit straight.
No actually it goes from predominant predator to predominant scavenger.
Well look at it from T. rex’s point of view. Would you rather fight a large healthy Triceratops or Ankylosaurus every week and risk heavy injury / death or use your superb sense of smell to locate dead carcasses?
T. rex was an enormous animal, even simple things like falling or stumbling could mean death.
You do know that birds descend from dinosaurs right ?
From small theropod dinosaurs. Not the large ones like T. rex
Doesn’t matter anyway, because like I mentioned earlier there is direct evidence that T. rex also preyed on live animals.
T.Rex was too big to feed from leftovers only anyway. It needed to bring down large animals, in order to eat enough.
And AFAIK T.Rex was pretty fast, so it could run down prey too.
EDIT: And Utahraptor>Velociraptor, and Deinonychus>Velociraptor too.
Just sayin’
Rhode Islandraptor>Utahraptor
I love how similar they look to chicken. Give them feathers and take their teath and KFCs dream have come true.
so still loling at how no one changed the spelling in the title
Velocoraptors are best no matter you saying.
Truth.
Velcroraptors?
Roycoraptors?
