The Rage Topic

Oh, so it was the Book Jacket retexture mod that was causing Oblivion to immediately crash to desktop.

Because a simple retexture mod is definitely the sort of mod that causes a CTD on startup in Oblivion.

Which is why I definitely deactivated it first.

Before I deactivated all of the other mods I just spent two hours installing and configuring, one-by-one.

Well. I got in a bike accident on the way home. My arm/wrist is totally fucked up. Can’t play music at all. It blows. On the plus side, I’m gonna take a couple days off.

Aak. That sucks, mate. Hope you mend soon.

Seems like I have a lot to rage about lately: My girlfriend suddenly broke up with me because she thought I was cheating on her with five other girls. She’s crazy. When I try to talk to her about it, she won’t give me any evidence or examples of what I did wrong. I just don’t understand what’s going through her head.

She’s probably cheating on you with five other guys.

Yeah. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised. One of my friends told me she was that type, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

She’s got five friends that give her benefits not-of-the-doubt.

Sorry to say it, but if she threw a crazy accusation like that and won’t reason, then it’s true.

Why the FUCK would the people who set up the internet here think it’s a good idea to have only 6 routers in a building designed to house over 200 students, and not provide ethernet?
That’s 33 connections, minimum, each router has to sustain at night. Plus phones, secondary computers, game consoles…
That ain’t gonna happen.

But management isn’t going to do anything, even though internet access is supposedly provided in our utilities payments, because they made sure to put in the fine print that access is “not guaranteed.”

Is it really so damn much to ask that after a long day of school, students be able to sit back and enjoy some videos, or some online games, or I don’t know, have the ability to do their damn assignments and research papers?

ahaha

I can’t pay my water bill because their office hours start an hour into class and end two hours before I’m released.

If you are ever looking for a healthy dose of irony, ask facebook why you never hear about racism in aboriginals, blacks or easterners.

At first I thought you were laughing because you thought I was exaggerating.
Then I read the rest of the post and realized it’s because you know.
8:00AM to 5:00PM most weekdays, with the occasional class going till 8:30PM. (Though thankfully none this semester)
It’s a good thing I’m living within walking distance of my university.

On a semi-related note, my internet is still being shitty, so I have nothing better to do than do another sweep of the forums.
Slowly.

In the mean time you watch your loading bar on your browser crawl at the pace of a snail. Fun times.

Yup.

I remember those 8:30pm days… I would always rush home trying to catch at least half of each new Heroes episode, since that was the only good thing on network television before the switch to digital.

On the bright side, there are some break hours thrown into the mix when you have one of those late classes. Consider that I’m in the unfortunate boat (heh) of doing 7am-7pm, with just an unofficial break somewhere in the middle. Plus, you probably get to keep your phone !
(We leave our tech in the car.)

I guess my job isn’t all that bad. Yesterday, we had some hands-on training with a very personable instructor in which we familiarized ourselves with firefighting equipment. Any job which has me go “on air” is an interesting job in my book.

Ah, those 8:30pm days…

it’s so fucking hot and it’s not even summer yet b,legh

I keep forgetting that the seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere.

Timezones too.

Ditto.

Same thing here.
Except the opposite.
Except not really the opposite, but what I mean is I wish the damn heat would just go away already.
It’s almost November and still like 15-20 degrees out. I want to be able to start wearing my pretty pretty jackets already.
