So my mum was diagnosed with skin cancer today (malignant melanoma). They’re now doing tests to find out if it has spread and if so, how far it has spread.
Figures something like this has to happen when everything else has been going well for my family these past few months.

Fuck. I’m sorry Bolteh. My friend’s going through Lymphoma (another type of cancer) at the moment as well. Surprisingly, he’s doing well. I think he’s done with kemo and he’s making good progress.
She’ll pull through. Keep a positive outlook, and hopefully she’ll be fine. I’ll keep y’all in mind through my day-to-day.

Why do people use their car horns to get someone’s attention or try to get them to hurry up? I live in an apartment complex where the apartments overlook the parking lot and, rather than getting out of one’s car to see what’s taking the person so long, they lean on their horn, filling the apartments in the vicinity with the noise.

I just read an article in the local paper about someone who was flying into Japan when it struck. She was quoted talking about villages being swept into the sea and houses burning on the water, and all the paper had to say was “that airport was 150 miles north of Fukushima”. :facepalm:

It actually described the whole disaster as “a major earthquake and tsunami that damaged the cooling at the Fukushima NPP, causing a nuclear disaster.”
