So I was just playing a game, and it started to slow down like crazy. I figured it was because the computer hasn’t been rebooted in a while and there was some junk left over somewhere.
Nope. Firefox was using 3 gigs of RAM.

Fucking iPod Touch screen got cracked today. Still works, it’s under a protector so it theoretically won’t shatter in my pocket and cut an artery but I really need to find an apple store or something to get it fixed. Go figure I had to move to the middle of fucking nowhere before something like this happens…
Just noticed this too… Was working in After Effects and it just locked up giving me an error that AE ran out of memory.
Firefox Plugin Container was using 3.4GB of memory.
Edit: Turns out it’s Flash.
Yeah, one of the pages I was idling oh refreshes every ~5 minutes, wouldn’t be surprised if one of the ads had flash or java trying to crash and use up all my RAM.
(it’s one of the few sites I run with adblock disabled, because I’m too cheap to subscribe so I’m giving them money however I can)
And the computer I was on has 4 gigs of RAM.
(my work computer is pretty sweet, aside from the old video card)
