But yeah. Our beloved Raminator does actually prefer a secret agent type life and likes to keep most of his real life things on the down low. He doesnt need all of us goobers aware of his kewl science and personal business. (who blames him?) So it isnt any wonder that not all know of the comings (cough :s nicker) and goings of his real life stuff. =)

My older sister is trying to convince me that our personalities are determined by our genes, she’s been taking psychology now so her teacher is either a dumb bastard or she’s to blame for this case of stupid. Either way it makes me want to put my head through my wall.
Some of it is, that’s what instincts are. Pre-programmed behaviors. The truth is, we don’t really know enough about our own neurology and we’re not really at liberty to EXPERIMENT and find out MORE to really make a decent guess as to the relative proportions of instincts vs. learned behavior, or even pre-programmed pathways of learned habit.
There was a pretty good study, though, about negligence in the parents of mice.
I believe it. My oldest saw his birth father for the last time when he was almost two. Yet to this day there are definite personality tendencies that are SO his father.
It was not a matter of his upbringing or surroundings that gave him those pieces of personalities.
