The Last Film You Saw.

Just watched Predators, despite the mostly negative reviews I enjoyed it quite a lot. It’s not as good as the first movie though, but it’s definitely not bad. Is it just me or did the soundtrack contain small parts of ‘Alien’? Awesome.

nooo, it sucked so bad :expressionless:

watched the doors, pretty good

Yea I understand the arguments as to why people think it’s bad but whatever, one and a half hour of guts flying around and shooting stuff is still worth it. Ofcourse it can’t top the first movie, nor the second.

Exactly. And the second one sucked major balls.

Just saw Watchmen. Was a lot better than I expected. Then again, I did think it wold be something along the lines of Transformers and shit like that.

The second Predator movie was decent, but I think that’s mostly because of Danny Glover.

Because of Danny Glover, I must see this film when it comes out.

I just finished watching Jurrasic Park for the first time… which is rather sad, since I love dinosaurs and want to be a paleontologist…

Anyway, great movie. Dated effects, but definitely had me on the edge of my seat.

FUCK YEAH! JURASSIC PARK!!!

Casino Royale. It was ok, I like Daniel Craig and all, but I’m pretty sure not even James fucking Bond should be able to fall 70 feet and brush it off, or jump out of a fast moving vehicle with nothing but a scraped knee.

Next, Quantum of Solace.

I just saw Splice. What a ginormus piece of shit.

Harry Potter 7.1. It was okay I guess. The movies have been pretty horrible since the 3rd, when they stopped focusing on following the books as closely as they could, and started focusing on changing as much as they could get away with.

I watched Independence Day a few days ago.

I’m sorry, dated effects? You do realize that Jurassic Park was the first movie to use CGI to re-create realistic animated organic creatures? Some scenes, in particular the Tyrannosaur break-out scene, are still superb compared to modern day CGI (and that is a BIG compliment for a movie from 1993). Jurassic Park is where CGI really started.

And as for the robotic effects, all I have to say is this: Stan Winston.

By the way, you won’t find much scientific facts about dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park movies, but I’m guessing you are aware of that. Good luck anyway.

We must go faster.

Bscly.

Whaaaaaat
You’re supposed to see Jurassic Park and then want to be a paleontologist!

Oh, I did notice the effects were BRILLIANT compared to what I was expecting, that does not however change the fact that certain effects, such as dinosaurs computer generated in the distance, were dated.

Dark City

I didn’t like it at all. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good either.

I loved Dark City. Also Seven Samurai. Fucking great film.

Dark City was decent except for the ‘I can kill you with my brain’ waves.
Anyhow, watched me some Resident Evil. I must admit I somewhat enjoyed them.

I want to like Babylon A.D. with Vin Diesel. I watch parts of it whenever it is on, and I enjoy parts of those parts. It seems like there was a good idea somewhere in there, buried under the action sequences. But it isn’t a good movie. It missed the point that it was trying to make somewhere in there. The last twenty minutes seem like they should have had another thirty to sixty minutes of story to go with them. Maybe it should have been two movies (though I’m not sure where the first would end or what the second would have had in it). In the end, it seems like it is a mess of a movie that should have been better, and I feel sorry for it. I think it deserved better.
