Inception.
Simply awesome.
Inception.

but overrated
But awesome.
it’s more overrated than awesome.
It’s more awesome than overrated.
except not
it’s fairly good, but massively overrated
massively > fairly
Its incredibly good, and mildly overrated.
-every single character (except di caprio’s) wasone dimensional and lacked proper development
-the snowy dream sequence looked like any action or james bond movie, instead of something out of a dream
-choppy editing
-the concepts felt dumbed down for “the masses” (and still lots of people said it was hard to understand)
what bothers me the most is the amount of wasted potential it has
Not saying Inception was perfect, but it was still quite enjoyable to me.
What I want to know was how they entered dreams, and how they chose which person’s dream to enter. And while the rest of the concepts were easy enough to grasp, I’m still confused about the final 3-stage dream - which dream was whose, how Leo was able to follow Ken into limbo, where limbo actually was, how they woke up from limbo, etc. Just felt some things weren’t adequately explained is my problem, I guess.
All of that was pretty easily explained by paying attention (the movie was completely straight-forward plot-wise), except the limbo bit. that’s actually a good point but I assume since they are in a shared dream they had a shared limbo.
I haven’t seen it despite having it on my computer for several months.
don’t bother
Name a bank heist movie that didn’t suffer from this flaw. (the amount that do outweighs the amount that don’t)
Again bank heist movie. It worked on that level. Made for a cool finale.
please give examples because the scenes that mattered were well shot.
it was a bank heist movie set in dreams. there were some deeper things going on but nothing that wasn’t a simple theme.
The entire thing was an elaborate bank heist movie. You are reading too much into it. People make it out to be deeper then it really is I think.
FUCK OFF it was a good film worth a watch.
There are three things I liked about Inception:
1- It’s the sequel to Titanic
2- I always love a nice spinning top
3- It’s really great at disappointing
None of those are true. You hate spinning tops.
My point is that the idea of dream within dreams could have been exploited so much more, instead of just making an “elaborate heist movie”. Dreams didn’t look like dreams, they looked exactly like real life.
Oh, and choppy editing: the fact that they had to show the van slowly falling to the water every five seconds bothered me. A lot.
ITT: People argue if they liked a movie or not.
fix’d
No, I am right.
Yes, Strangelove, you are always right.
