The Last Film You Saw.

Just finished watching Jarhead. Really good movie, good quotes too. But I’m wonderin’, is Kanye West able to make is own song or can he just do (bad) remixes?

Just finished watching My Neighbor Totoro its been ages since I last saw this movie its just all-around good

watched 12 angry men (the 1957 version)

Was pretty damn good, I had read the play a few years back and was not dissapointed.

Babylon A.D. wasn’t a terrible movie, but there wasn’t anything particularly good about it either. I would watch it again if it was on though. But that’s just the way I roll.

In theaters? I am going to review the last TWO movies i saw, in honor of my 2nd post on the BMS forums. The first one is the one i saw last, the second one is the film a saw before.

#!) Drillbit Taylor.
First let me start by saying. i went into this film expecting a few laughs…I only smiled once during the film, and that was the credits. there were 4 or 5 funny moments… the only problem with them was i had seen those moments close to 200 times during the TV advertisment for the film. I should have known this film would be bad by its tagling “You get what you pay for.” I am a fan of Owen Wilson, but I will be renting his next film for certain. 2.3/10

#2) Vantage Point This film is about an assasination attempt on the Preisdent of the United States, as seen by 8 different individuals, all these P.O.V.'s come together to find the people responsible for this attack. there are many Plot twists, like for example, SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER [COLOR=‘White’]The President who was attacked was a double, the Secret service knew there would be an attack.END OF SOILER There was plenty of action, lots of explosions, (actually the same explosion, over and over again, but it was still cool.
the cast was great
Dennis Quaid … Thomas Barnes
Forest Whitaker … Howard Lewis
Sigourney Weaver … Rex Brooks
The Only thing i didnt like about the film was when they switched the Point of view. They would reverse what we had just saw, rapidly, and show a screen for 12 seconds showing the time, which was always the same. overall I enjoyed this film
7.9/10

Primer

Low budget (7K dollars), good take on the time travel paradox

I watched all 3 Resident evil movies

The Signal. My sister was jizzing all over it for months, but I only found it okay.

I was pretty suspenseful, though. And badass how they shot the people going all nuts and shit.

I usually call them “movies” or “flicks”. I think “film” is used to distinguish feature-length movies to those short “movies” that come from computers (such as those found on Youtube) considering the movies up until very recently were being printed on strips of “film”.

Still, I usually call them movies (or flicks). I don’t use film too often and I never use “cinema” (unless that’s in the title of something like ‘Cinema 18’ or ‘Cinemax’).

I’d like to see District 9 soon (probably won’t happen this weekend or next… :’( )

Max Payne. Pretty silly, but not a total waste of time.

I watched Rec (as in Recording). It’s the movie Quarantine was based on, and it’s in Spanish. I understood quite a bit of it but a lot of it was too fast for me to catch, and people talking at the same time made it a lot harder.

The movie is filmed from the point of view of a handheld camera, I like most movies that do this but for some reason a lot of people hate it. It was pretty good, a lot scarier than most of the horror movies I’ve seen lately. I don’t think I’ll ever watch Quarantine because this movie was so good that I think it’d kind of ruin it.

I just started watching Monthy Python and the Holy Grail. Awesome y/n?

The awesomeness of Monty Python and the Holy Grail is directly proportional the geekitude of the viewer. The more geeky you are, the more awesome MPatHG is.

I love MPatHG, I could recite it right now, and have you ROTFLOL. :retard:

Still, however, I think that Monty Python has gotten a bit weird since it was filmed. The point was to do outrageous things that were unexpected. But people have been quoting it so much since then that it’s almost like you EXPECT the Spanish Inquisition nowadays.

Quarantine has a few more scenes that kind of add onto it, and the infection is different. And it’s a bit better filmed. But the last scene in REC is by far superior to Quarantine in so many ways. I enjoyed both a lot, and both had separate scenes unique to each that I cringe when I remember them.

The main difference, for me, is that I can watch Quarantine multiple times but I NEVER want to see the thing at the end of REC again. Never.

Just finished watching MPatHG. I so much <3 french insults:" I wave my private parts at your aunties you cheesy lot of second-hand electric donkey bottom-bitters!"

Spoilers for Rec and Quarentine:
[COLOR=‘White’]Wasn’t the thing in Quarentine super rabies or something? I like Rec’s joint posession and virus better. And the fact that a remake added irrelevent things to the movie seems kind of weird. How did Quarentine end exactly?

Spoiler:

[COLOR=‘black’]It was super rabies. I liked that better because it was more plausible and therefore scary from my point of view. Some of the things were relevant, like a rabid dog tearing a guy from limb to limb and like, one of the infected firefighters walking on his broken ankle (DNW). But some weren’t, like one with a rabid mouse running at the cameraman (lol) and a scene where a girl is bludgeoned to death with the camera (lol again).

It had the same end, but the guy at the end was just skinny, not…creepily emaciated. I was scared of him, but the Girl’s face/body in REC gave me instant horror, turned my stomach and made me want to cry. xD Idk how to describe what she did to me but I didn’t like it.
In Quarantine, the guy at the end was just kind of creepy.

District 9…What a surprisingly solid movie.

Unless the things being watched are actually feature films broken into parts and uploaded to YouTube. Then it’s a paradox.

Then again, a word about the quality ~
