This movie will be awesome.

Oh man I have to go

The Hobbit, Prometheus, Men in Black 3, Expendables 2.

Gonna be an interesting year.

Not to mention The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and Mass Effect.

And Spiderman

Spiderman? WHAT THE FUCK!
They are making a new one?
Shit they can go to hell with that. Spiderman 1 and 2 were awesome and I doubt they can top that. Seriously now, who the fuck told them to make a new Spiderman movie with a total new cast and shit. We were already used to the old Peter parker and now there comes a douchebag telling “Hey guys I’m the new spiderman so you should totally forget about the old one, lolz”. That guy would fit in in another Twilight movie. Look at him, gay as can be. I can’t believe it.

I’m excited about the three that Orpheon mentioned.

I was never a fan of the Sam Raimi Spiderman films.

And honestly, the best part of Spiderman 2 was the part with the guy from Chapelle’s Show.

A Mass Effect movie? They’ll probably fuck it up, right?

Probably.

I find the new guy a lot more fitting than Maguire.

The first movie was somewhat bearable because of Dafoe, but anything else was just badly executed, badly written and badly acted.

I personally have high hopes for The Amazing Spider-Man. It has potential to make the public forget that Maguire was Spider-Man at one point in his life and that Grace was casted as Venom (if Stan Lee was dead, he’d be turning around in his grave after what they did to Venom).

My guess is that they’re preparing for a second Avenger movie, covering Spider-Man’s short stint with the New Avengers, hence the reboot.

I’m afraid it might happen too, but if I recall correctly some of the Bioware guys will be producing, so maybe…

Really? I think the new guy looks like a horrible Spider-Man. He looks way too moody and emo. Spider-Man was supposed to be a nerdy loser who gained these incredible powers and had to learn to use them responsibly, and I though Tobey Maguire played the part perfectly.

But what I really don’t get is why they chose to reboot. Granted, the third film was a colossal bomb (for some reason that seems to happen to the third movie in a lot of superhero film series), but personal preferences aside, the first two were super successful and popular. It wasn’t like the Hulk, where the first movie was already a failure, so I see no reason why they’re going to do Spider-Man’s origin story over again. They could have gone anywhere else with the character but for some reason they go back to the beginning, which was already done and already good. Why not go with an older Spider-Man or something? I just really hope this doesn’t signal an even further collapse of Hollywood’s creativity, and now not even sequels are a safe enough bet for them, so they decide they literally have to make the same movies over and over again.
