So I just remembered I have a math/programming textbook for game development with a lot of equations and example code.
Combined with Zluzacn’s compile tool source code, I may be a weekend’s worth* of free time away from understanding all the math and calculations behind making a damn good pre-baked radiosity solution for games.
* Probably more, but hey, sexy lighting is worth it.
So… I got some great news about the mod I play regularly. They got a method to get Fortress Forever as is on steam. It uses the 2006 engine, they apparently got a method that works from Neotokyo.
So my favorite multiplayer mod may be coming to steam in the coming weeks.
so about five days ago I started some thermogenics, and I have had a 12 pound weight loss. For the first time in forever, I actually have some hope that I can become fit and attractive. If this current weight loss keeps up, by the end of this cycle (which is 30 days total) I will have shed, basically, 90 percent of my body fat. If it works out okay, I will be back down at 180 pounds (which is 165 pounds of muscle, and about 15 pounds of fat roughly).
Hopefully this works out, because I’ve always struggled with weight loss and having this (and it actually working) is going to change everything about my life right now.
EDIT: I got extended at my current job (this was going to be my last week), and I raised my rate by $5/hr.
EDIT EDIT: Am I like the only happy guy left around these parts?
Order just went out for my new PC:
Corsair AX760 PSU
Asrock Z97 Extreme4 Mobo
i5 4690K CPU
EVGA GTX 970 Superclocked GPU
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB HDD (for most games)
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD (for OS and an elite few games)
8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1866MHz RAM (that I got for free because the head of development at my startup was giving it away)
I’ll also be carrying over from my current build:
CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ Cooler
ASUS Xonar Essence STX Audio Card
2X Western Digital Caviar Green 3TB (for all my shit)
All bundled up in a sleek’n’shiny NZXT h230.
I’m also going to try out a mechanical keyboard: the CoolerMaster QuickFire Rapid-i, brown switch model.
I managed to save maybe $150-ish with the Black Friday month deals.
I actually stand to make a decent amount of money back on my old PC’s parts. A lot of them, particularly the i5 2500K, haven’t depreciated as much as I would have expected.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
