The Black Mesa Team

How many of you guys think the Black Mesa Dev Team will be one of those teams that get contacted by Valve after their mod does really well and will be offered jobs to work on Half-Portal 2?

i think its likely if the mod is of such astounding quality that they (valve) think that they couldn’t have done it better themselves

Brombaq pretty much covered it. If the game blows Valve away, then I think job offers are quite likely for some members of the team.

Seing as it probably never will be released, I have my doubts. But I love that there’s still gossiping about it, and that the developers are communicating with the fans.

seriously-where are trolls like you actually getting this shit from? Of course its going to be released! > :frowning:

and OP- this has been discussed to death a thousand times

I heard that most of the team already have jobs and are happy with them.

If you would’ve read the interview with the project leader you would know, that:

Some of them already have jobs.

Some of them don’t even want jobs in the gaming industry.

The rest of them is doing something entirely different as their job.

Perhaps Valve will try to hire them to make that sequel some of us have been waiting for…

And you really think that they aren’t working on it?

Meh, don’t really care actually.
I’d bet they are, it’s just been pushed down the priority list a tad because of all the other games that are being made. This leads to their current work on it becoming outdated, which means more work to get it up to the current standard of game. I’m sure it’ll be enjoyable though. I’m actually glad that they abandoned the episodic model; I think I read somewhere that it’ll be a full length game instead of another little episode.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Please go back to the Halo forums.

Just the thing that Valve already tried hiring them and all of them (I think) declined their offer. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m a “troll” if I don’t believe it’s going to be released? What does it tell you, when they released a teaser/trailer/whatever with “2009” on it? It’s 2012, and still nowhere release.
Actually, if they postpone it much longer, it will be out of date and probably very uninteresting to most people.
The signs are so obvious, yet you call me a troll. Yes, I registered just because there has been some fuss recently about the mod, and saw that there actually was activity on the forums. I feel obliged to try to get you to be realistic. I was looking forward to this mod in 2008, but now I don’t care much.

Edit: Also, releasing content based on Facebook likes seems really unprofessional.

You have no idea what directions the entertainment industries are moving in then. Lots of entertainers and companies use Facebook and Twitter to accomplish their goals in similar manners.

Mahogany, just gtfo now.

You know, the thing with trolls is this: in feeding the trolls, you only make them fatter and more annoying…

They may even go to work on the Balck Meas Sauce dev team!

This thread is going nowhere, inb4 lock. Enough said.

PS: I’m liking the avatar, Capt Quark.

your attempts at making us be “realistic” are unwelcome on these forums; funnily enough they’re for people who do actually care about the mod- I refer you to BarneyCalhoun’s comment

I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
