The assassins

thirded?

I always did a quicksave and ran up to one of them and shotgun them in the face and quicksave again, rinse and repeat :stuck_out_tongue:

You pussy, I crowbar them.

I ran up to them with a crossbow and refused to fire until I was able to shoot their faces point-blank.

Awesome looking assassin video.

They used a cloaking device in HL1 on hard mode, and I believe one of the devs confirmed this for BMS also.

But I might be mistaken :expressionless:

He wasn’t asking if it will be in, he was asking if they were going to use an effect like the one in that video.

I think they’ll be able to do all that, bud. They should, though, have voices instead of the silent ones in half life
Not any words, just death cries.

Catz said she’d done pain sounds for them, so it appears they will have voices to a certain extent.

You mean the cloaking effect? It’d be a pretty lame cloaking feature if it didn’t have a cloaking effect now wouldn’t it?

Cloaking means that it becomes invisible, that’s pretty much the only effect cloaking can have, except perhaps a shimmer where it’s still partially visible.

I’m glad you clarified that because I was terribly confused about what was going on. Based on this discussion I had assumed they were putting on loose outer garments to protect them from the cold. :zip:

There’s a difference between plain cloaking (i.e. just disappearing) and a cloaking effect. In the video those ships disappear gradually instead of all at once like it was in HL.

Well, if I’m not mistaken, the assassins in HL1 are already cloaked and only uncloak when they’re dead.

They uncloak whenever they shoot, as well.

That’s on Easy mode, right?

On hard mode they’ll use wallhack, am I right?

Raminator only plays on Raminator mode…the assassin do not cloak in this mode because they know it is useless against his boomerang.

that’s stupid and you’re stupid for saying it. You’re not entertaining children here, we’re adults, we can handle the fact he plays with a modified skill.cfg file where every enemy has 2000 hitpoints and none of the player’s weapons do any damage, just to keep him from winning when the mod starts up.

:awesome:

Terminate with EXTREME prejudice.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
