BM TF2 items maybe?
Huh. Didn’t notice that, since I usually just come straight to the forums. Good catch.
Might be a BM-related item pack or some other similar crossover into TF2. Or maybe it’s just a significant date? A few patches seem to have come out for TF2 on August 17th over the years.
The images are called “DLC_valve_1” through 3, they’re in a folder called ‘promo’. So I’m thinking Promo items.

BMDM confirmed for TF2 gamemode.
That’d be awesome… if not confusing style-wise. I guess there must be some sort of crossover of SOME sort going on.
So… Steam Release soon? Hard to see that being the case, honestly. BBMIPs seem to give a little glimpse into the mod’s current state, and it doesn’t seem like it’s ready for the re-release yet… Though, I may be wrong.
Hmmmm.
HEADCRAB HAT AND HALF FORTRESS 3 CUMFURMED
But in all honesty I am very happy about this if it is true, I am a huge TF2 and BM fan. Maybe we will find something in the TF2 files in future updates that is BM related.
Edit: Is it possible for a Dev to confirm this?
Lol the spy: https://4st.me/Zujkl.png
pyro: https://4st.me/y63tj.png
medic: https://4st.me/Hpa1v.png
It wasn’t there before. Why would they put this? BM promo items in TF2?
Crowbar
Level 1 Multi-purpose tool
+25% Faster attack speed
-25% Damage Penalty
The image names are labeled DLC so it’s probably just some sort of promotion. Maybe the BMS preorder will have TF2 items.
I could see TF2 items coming with a purchase of BM, but why would they make a preorder for a digitally-distributed game? So you can reserve one of infinite copies?
I’m also guessing there’s going to be some promotional items. If they were from stuff that’s already at the workshop, I’m guessing these 2 could be candidates:Rocket launcher or The infamous crowbar
Otherwise, maybe a dev will design something else.
For most of TF2 promo items, you get them by pre-ordering a game.
Pre-order is really common on Steam, they usually come with an “exclusive” dlc and blah blah blah…
But if it’s really pre-orders item, that’s mean we will have a date soon… Or just items like Joe posted…
Someone on another forum I visit thinks it is BM stuff for Source Film Maker. Notice how it’s all TF2 characters over BM stuff and noBM stuff in TF2.
Plus that render of the Pyro inside in the test chamber, had motion blur.
According to SteamDB there is unreleased SFM content on steam.
Yeah it makes more sense, it’s probably a SFM dlc.
What about those?

Those are in the Quotation section after BM soundtrack
I honestly don’t expect it to be an SFM DLC. I think we are going to be seeing Black Mesa on Steam with TF2 promo items. I highly doubt Valve would have an unofficial game in SFM, even though they rather like Black Mesa. Also, notice the portals and characters in them. I don’t know who they are, but those look like the Portals from Portal. What could it mean?
And now there’s a Day of Defeat soilder and a Blade Symphony ninja coming out of Portal’s portals.
Only one question remains: https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/e/e9/Demoman_sf12_badmagic08.wav?t=20121027183918
Dudes, I think it’s time ! Prepare for the official release soon
lol now everyone’s watching this thread because of my TF2 raffle
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
