TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

i’m just as guilty of pirating a game that i would never otherwise buy, either out of doubt that the game will be good or that i simply have no interest in playing it all the way through. if it turns out that i like the game, i always make the purchase.

it’s already been discussed a bazillion times that…
( …wait, really? “Bazillion” is actually a word? Whatever, Firefox spellcheck… )
…anyway, it’s already been proven that game developers and movie companies have never actually LOST any profits to pirates. Most of the people who pirate are either too poor to buy the media in the first place or have little interest in using it; therefore, they wouldn’t have made the purchase anyway. Profits are never lost if they’re never gained. However, tangible goods (ie: game discs) are another matter.

That’s why people who say “pirating is the same as stealing” need to be struck in the head with a heavy object. I can’t pirate a fucking car and poof, there it is in my driveway. Pirating is duplicating anyway, not removing. So it’s honestly not that big of a crime in my eyes. The internet is full of greedy cheap bastards. dealwithit.jpg

But i respect bethesda and i like having the actual items for a series that I’m a fan of. So Skyrim will be sitting on my shelf this year eventually possibly with a guide book to match.

Have a map.

I pirate games that is only single player. But sometimes, when i pirate a game, i think they are so good that i go buy them. That’s actually what happened with Oblivion for me. I pirated it, played it for an hour, then i bought it on steam

Already pre-ordered Skyrim though.

To think, that is the space I will be spending hours upon hours upon hours in.

When I’ve got time, I wan to take the screenshots that we’ve seen so far and place them on the map where we figure they will be.

Feel free to start without me, I won’t be able to for a while.

I’m glad to see there is a big chunk of map behind Riverhold. Those wide open shots of (guessing) Whiterun had me worried this was going to be another fallout.

Nice map.

Has a Lord of the Rings-esque flair.

…how old is your screen? I didn’t think they even made 4:3 screens anymore…

I should have put “almost” in there. whoops.

I have a 1920x1200 (22inch) Gateway

And now that you brought up that pic again, I did resize it and change it a bit too
1920x1200 with hazed borders and some color exposure/bloom (brings out green of the grass and river at the bottom and details of the snowy mountains more)

Here’s the one hazzmat posted: original 1920x1393

And if you can spot the one thing i removed from the title of the original to mine, you get a cookie.

The TM. Lol, I was wondering, because the picture was square and you said it fit perfectly.

Yes.

“almost” was absent for some racist reason.

What’cha know 'bout genre-fantasy?

Some good news for Skyrim modding:

Skyrim Script Extender possible

Tolkien pioneered that type of map, and used the style in LotR’s map.

Tolkien was awesome.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Woohoo! Brawling! Now I don’t have to work on that speech skill, I can just beat the crap out of somebody to get the info I need.

IM COMINGGG

I’ve been coming since this thread was made

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
