TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

Hypocrite harder bro.

Also I very much like that background. Reminds me of the mines from Morrowind, good times.

Now i’m worried that you CAN’T make pretty people in the game. i understand that these testers may have wanted to experiment with the game’s character maker but why would they ALL want to make dirty, ugly, eye-gouged characters!? At least ONE pf them probably tried to make someone look GOOD…but probably failed and settled with someone “badass”.

i’m hoping i can still create recreate my girlfriend in game. Every one of my Mages’ Guild characters are based on her. LOL

Actually tei, they are all journalists, so it’s not surprising in the least that they all look the same. They will want to show off as much unique stuff about skyrim as possible. Odd eye colours, choosable scars and warpaint are all new to the elder scrolls customization, so it isn’t surprising that most of the characters look like that, considering none of them knew what the others were creating at the time. It’s like the hipster, all doing the exact same thing because it’s not normal.

Am I the only one who thinks this game is massively overhyped? I mean srsly. W+M1 sword fights suck. The only game that manages to keep a level of skill to kill enemies with swords is Mount and Blade.

You can always mod the game to work with Kinect, so you can actually pretend to swing a sword or cast spells.

:stuck_out_tongue:

yes.

If you think the reason people are looking forward to this is for deep combat you are a fuckwit. Mount and Blade’s combat is awesome but in just about every other respect TES games are better.

Ah, I will give it a try.

Is it a little overkill that I am hoping that the thieving system will be as advanced as the Thief series?

QFT.

The only concern I have for Skyrim is that my system will melt/explode when I try to run it. That can easily be fixed once I get enough cash to buy a cooler running graphics card.

(I have definitely learned my lesson about gaming computers in midtowers)

I would say if you can run Oblivion at highest you could definitely run skyrim. Bethesda is making the game overall look better, but they aren’t trying to push the envelope in graphics tech or anything like that, just making it look nice.

The designer of Oblivion’s Thieves Guild questline was a writer for several of the Thief games. …at least i think. i have high hopes and even higher expectations for the Thieves Guild, myself.

as long as you can steal more than plates and cups i will be fine

Of course you can steal more than that. There will probably also be forks, knifes and spoons.

The trouble with the Thieves Guild (or anything for that matter) is that every item within the game has a value. A value that is often WAAAAAAY off the charts when compared to any actual real-world economy. There’s a reason The Price is Right doesn’t exist in Tamriel. it’s got nothing to do with there not being television; it’s because it’d be WAY TOO EASY!!

We have here a new pair of leather shoes, fit for any mage, fighter or working man. On them is an enchantment of +1 fatigue for 3 seconds on cast. And here we have a rusty bucket filled with shit from the cow those shoes were made from. Which has higher value on this terrible scale we call an economy?

Correct! They’re BOTH worth ONE LOUSY SEPTiM!

It would suck being a kitchenware merchant in Tamriel.

Funny how the the first pic looks meh while the second looks cool…

Dissapointingly massive eyebrow bones are dissapointingly massive… :frowning:

^Oh my fuck. :jizz:

I didn’t think Beth would be able to pull off the Argonians as well as they did with the khajiit and Orcs. The Argonians now actaully look like reptilian badasses. Let’s just hope their voices, dialogue, and purposes in Skyrim match up to their new awesome physical appearances. Bc last I remembered, Lizards aren’t too fond of the cold.

I won’t be surprised if Argonians have the smallest population in Skyrim. It’d make sense since most reptiles/lizards can’t survive in cold, tit-freezing climates.

Theories anyone?
