Tau-Jump Exploits

It’s pretty easy to launch yourself backwards up the rocks on the near side of the dam:

Look out into the boxy distance:

When my job here is done, I will launch my ass as close to that thing as possible, skipping the copper encounter in the process:

Not before wandering off into the distance:

Now where the fuck am I? Eh, fuck this time to head back to the rooftop:

From the corner of the roof, 2 unspawned soldiers appear as floating guns! For the first time in the game I’m getting the drop on the enemy! This shot is easy, since the bow darts don’t even fall with gravity:

personally I love the extreme lack of player clips in the maps. It stays true to the original.

Maybe don’t try to willingly break your game next time? It’s not like you can get up there by accident.

The HECU’s elite cloaking unit has been spotted!

Hah, the Combine Soldiers from HL2 were also like that while in an inactive state. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s not an exploit, that’s a feature!

You cans still Tau-Jump? This game never ceases to amaze me with its… I can’t remember the word… Historical accuracy? Attention to detail?

Edit: I might be just be thinking of ‘accuracy’ and really tired.

dafuq you mean the bolts don’t drop with gravity? Mine drop like steel bars

Why bother tau jumping on that side of the dam, when you can surf on the other side to skip the whole section in about 30 seconds. :freeman:

I had to find some way to make it fun. :meh:
