Surface Tension Loading Bug(can't shoot)

I’ve just finished Questionable ethics.
I’ve pushed the button to open the gate(hence to load surface tension first map) and the game has freezed for good amount of time(without showing “loading…”).
When,finally, bm unfreezed I could move but I couldn’t shoot with the Mp5.

I tried to load again and I had the same issue.

Intel core duo T9300 @ 2.50 Ghz
Nvidia Geforce 9500m GS

It’s a notebook and I’ve played on it HL2 and Portal 2

I downloaded it using your torrent file.

Update:

I’ve played BM again and I’ve loaded the same save (autosave).
The game runs smooth now but I’ve lost the MP5(is not shown in the HUD).
I had to take one from a dead soldier in order to use it again and everything seems ok.

Thanks for your report. Thus, it’s a yet another instance of the “weapon suddenly lost” problem. Unfortunately you’re not alone hitting this bug and I hadn’t seen any real solution for it so far.

You can always put a weapon in your hand using the proper console command
but I did it in order to help devs to fix it.
