So you are wanting to be able to see the physic props held in your hand? Make your own mod…should only take 15 years to reanimate the hands to hold all possible objects.
Also in suggestion to the HECU Grunts, make them move faster. Either sprinting when repositioning, or just moving faster overall. I miss the lightning bruisers of the first game, and it was easier for them to challenge you because they were often moving and moving quickly.
Well i was thinking only prop weapons that would be all the same size. In Half life the original you could not pick up any physics objects. But i am glad we can in black mesa it is a change for the better.
Anyway i won’t harp on it’s obviously something very difficult to do even for a small number of items or objects. I thought about pushing a cart with satchel inside it. throwing kitchen knives at a zombies head. would be nice i think but that is just me perhaps
one more example electrical arcing cable that you can only use as a weapon within the bounds of the distance it will stretch.
I would not conceive of manipulating every prop physics object either with view hands i would make more items that could not be picked up than could be picked up making the items you could manipulate really count giving more reason to search tarp crates and making around 20 to 25 items immersive leaving general physics props as unable to manipulate with the use key
I think prop weapons with limits are a goldmine you perhaps have not realised how far that can go with that and far more exciting than flinging radiators about in HL2
But we don’t need to have hands on them. I just think that would be the next logical step.
Also if I may have a little wish-list:
Helmets, could work the same as Berets. I know you there is a helmet modeled, but it isn’t textured. I tried to put it on soldiers the same way berets are, but it doesn’t work and nothing shows up
The other thing would be a random item spot (forgive me, I forget the proper term) for the back. It could include things like:
Backplate (default, most common)
Rucksack (modeled, although low quality)
Cosmetic AT4 (Just strip the HL2 RPG and done, makes the Grunts look like they have more fire-power!)
Extra weapons (MP5 or Shotgun, also cosmetic)
Lower back pouches (like these)

(More) Suggestions/ideas:
- The crowbar needs a new, better animation (like the one in HL2) & hit sound.
- The jump mechanic doesn’t feel like in HL1/HL2. It’s worse and/or odd implemented. Please, look into it & improve it.
- Keep the bunny-hop mechanic, please! Don’t remove it.
- Keep the ragdoll gib/gibbing system, please! Don’t remove it.
- Add more prop gibs.
- Make a new main menu UI, but keep the chapter selection.
- Make the AI smarter/dumb depending on the game’s chosen difficulty (easy = clumsy AI; medium = normal AI; hard = smart AI, like in HL1), please!

My one suggestion:
Re-implement the hgrunts using a glock after they run out of mp5 ammo, but balance it so players wont just wait for hgrunts to use their glocks.
Shotgun double shot on a zombie (head shot) could gib the headcrab and head inside it.
and magnum single shot could do the same for a headshot.
But only on zombies I don’t want to be able to blow the heads off any HECU Marines say. But I would like this for fun.

I came across this promo image and I have to say there is something about an assassin with a knife.
I’d really like the roundhouse kick style of kick from HL2 Beta but I think a knife attack would also suit this npc. perhaps even a flick knife.
Seems like the knife attack got ditched that was implied in the promo.
man that is an old image, from the fact that the assassin has crossbows instead of suppressed pistols.

Yeah interesting that the crossbow was meant to be one of the assassins weapons at concept stage.
Silent and deadly… I knew I liked the synthetic Black Crossbow that Medkit did, I wonder if this is where he got his inspiration from.
or even fire a zipline (assassins don’t use ropes) via a crossbow bolt.
In fact I would love to see one zip line in to an area coming to think of it. what an intro to a fight that would be. It would also give a couple of more opportunities to confront them. Way underused enemy.
I would just add it back so that a few designated grunts spawn with pistols, perhaps mostly rear line infantry, or near the end.

E is enter / exit
the mouse controls the horizontal axis
w s a d for movement
upon swivelling horizontally with the mouse space bar would re-align legs to the cross hair be the new w s a d axis
left click pincers contract
right click pincers retract
Ctrl could factor to pick up objects.
Yep i will keep dreaming crush your enemies box puzzles like being able to remove otherwise unmoveable objects or barriers and crossing otherwise untraversable swathes of radioactive waste

I would realy like to see half-life decay in black mesa , it would be awesome to port this game, so friends can play together this awesome fun game on one screen like on the ps2

@Dragonuv2 It’s in the extended day dream cut of Half life did you not know that? only kidding but I thought about driving it since the first time I saw it in Black Mesa, I just never suggested it before. It’s an Aliens (james Cameron) rip off, so may as well live up to the rip off in true style up against a gargantua or something. If the devs don’t do it and I doubt they will, I think someone should make a mod for a driveable loader rather than tanks or helicopters. Loader is far more desireable I think and It looks amazing in motion.
I’d say implement the Uncut Chapters, but some people seem to enjoy the ‘cut’ ones
