We’ve all had them! Share some stories that caused you grief or annoyance because you did something silly or stupid. I’m sure that we’ll get some good ones.

Last Friday, I was jumping hurdles in Phys. Ed., (I wasn’t told to, just felt like showing off) and EPICALLY failed.
The tip of my foot hit the hurdle, and I flipped over the top. My forearms hit the ground first and then I smashed my
knees into the ground afterward. The metal on the hurdle bent and split, and the hurdle became unusable. They didn’t
charge me for a new one because the Teacher was laughing so hard. I have to admit it would’ve made an epic .gif

At work, I told a girlfriend a secret about a security breach in our system.

She betrayed me and told.

It got me fired and I have been unemployed for 18 months now.

I decided that it was a good idea to wave my index and middle finger towards people when I was in France. Boy, was I wrong.

Over the course of 3 years, I had 6 bosses come and go. I told the first 3 and they didnt do anything. I gave up. I also didnt keep proof that I had told my managers about it.

The secret was regarding the fact that everyone in our company had access to personnel information… which includes salary details.

My girlfriend and I were both complaining about the unfairness of the recent hiring and raise behaviors from our boss. I then complained to my girlfriend about the breach AND about the fact that while I was the most experienced, seasoned, special matter expert and relied on person in the whole company regarding our product… I was also the least paid.

I should have kept my mouth shut.

Let my stupidity be a lesson to everyone here. Regardless of how important you know you are or how difficult it will be to replace you… YOU ARE STILL EXPENDABLE. Nothing can fix or protect you from the type of stupid where salary information is discussed.

As me and friend of were driving along, and my friend thought it’d be amazingly fun to give the finger to some big skin head, roid eating, muscle machine. He proceeded to chase us. I pulled over, explained that it was my stupid friends idea of a joke and that he’s sorry.

He, then proceeded to kick the shit out of both of us. I didn’t even do anything haha.

Stupid mistake: Having friends.

Releasing a self replicating program onto the school network (they had no anti virus) which managed to infect a heap of home PC’s (Why the hell would you run w/out AV, especially the school network).
I told one person that I created it, a few months later he told the school techs… Banned form the school network for a month, almost expelled… yeah. That didn’t go down too well :expressionless:
