Stuck in tram railway system. (c2c2a)

Got there by tram.
Turned off power
Found one of the plugs in the water
Plugged it in socket
Turned on power
Tram lift descends
V’gon and Headcrabs spawn
Neutralized
Run tram onto lift
Nothing happens, noting to interact with.

I see that it’s a room there with one of those guys who spew acid on you, but i can’t get in that control room. Any suggestions?

next to the locked door is a pipe. Behind that pipe is a ladder. It is straight forward from there
