Steamcast (2 hour)

Steamcast recently held a podcast with Mike Hillard ( voice ), Kevin Sisk ( voice, scripting & choreo ), & Ben Truman ( story lead, scripting, & choreo ).
Unfortunately, Steamcast is a bit behind on episodes but you can listen on the unedited stream. ( skip to 14m )

Cool beans =]

awesome do you talk about the mod at all?

Wow, “It’s time to choose…”. That was perfect.
“Maybe, we can reason with it!”

“Constantly orgasmic…” That was the best comment I heard about that chick’s voice  .

They do.

It’s true that you guys deserve hell of a lot more respect than some of the community seems to be giving you. Valve should definitely be looking at hiring you guys given your dedication.

good stuff! Some previously unreleased info in there.

Really great interview guys! Update the twitter feed with this! [COLOR=‘Black’]Or not

Edit: Holy shit, that audioplay from Forget About Freeman sounds awesome! It would be Oh so sweet if we could get a high quality upload of these to listen to.

Awesome podcast!

I have a question though. At a one hour mark of the podcast the voice actor guys play their rerecorded lines of the “Don’t let it overcharge!” lines. I noticed a new sound effect of the TAU cannon charging instead of that what was in HL1. Is that the one that is going to be in the mod?

Thank you.

A very informing interview and a nice update. Lots of stuff I did not know.

The podcast was great, it was nice to hear them talk about the mod, voice acting etc.

That would be pretty neat.

All of our weapons use new sounds.

Great podcast!
I found it especially interesting to hear it in its raw uncut version.

Also, it made me appreciate once more the sheer vasteness of this undertaking.
It makes the wait a lot easier…

Also also, Barneys voice is spot on!

And the scientist, my goodness those guys are amazing.

I’ve only heard a very few things from the marines, they sound a little overdone in my opinion, however they are ages better than most modding projects I’ve seen.

“Just recently finished On A Rail and the only remaining bits are the very ending of Lambda Core and polishing”

“It’s really been in a playtesting phase for about a year or two”

A question about voice acting:

“how do you get the most out of your character”

“grab the character and shake vigorously”

36:44 :open_mouth:

Listening it, fuck yeah!

THis is really great, thanks for the tip off
