Steam Beta

I really like the new look and game layout.

Been using it for a while it’s very good

No you don’t :hmph:
Go to your friends list. Groups are listed below your friends. Click little down arrow and then click “Join group chat room”

yeah, you do it by right clicking on the game and choosing the “set category” option

Fine. By the pressure of internets I now like it.

Like it but I’m still bugged at how slow the window draw rate is. Dragging/resizing windows is choppy (system specs not apply).

I really like the ability to sort my games, I also think the old version looked too flat.

Works fine for me.

I’ve been running it since the very first available beta. It was crap back then, it’s been getting cleaner and faster consistently (except that one day where we got locked out).

I feel that the in game overlay is MILES faster and more efficient than the previous one.
Not to mention the organization just feels better all around.

But like FireTime, not here :frowning: Specs aren’t an issue it seems, it does it on my laptop…but then it does it quite a bit on my desktop PC too. Which isn’t a slouch spec wise.
.

One thing that bugs me is that you can’t minimize it like you were able to do with the old one.

What are you talking about? I minimize it all the time. I can minimize it so it shows up in the task bar, and if i close it, it still shows up in the notification tray. It also has small mode so it only displays your games list and nothing else, which covers everything i can remember the original steam doing.

Would it hurt you if I said it wasn’t slow for me?

I like it a lot… Now I just have to wait to see if it works as well for Mac as it does for Windows.

Only gripe I have is that my download speeds seem to have taken a nosedive, but that might just be coincidence.

Yes Door. Yes it would :frowning:
.

Most of it is pretty cool. Dont so much like the games page.

tbh, I think I’ll wait until it’s out of the testing phases. It’s not like I use Steam a whole lot anyways.

You can just change it to the list and be happy.

Dont get me wrong, but I seem to be plain stupid.

I hope they get some different colors out soon though, I miss my old scheme. This ones too much dark grey to suit me! I liked the former “obsidian”, it had more black than grey. Atleast I think it was “obsidian”.
