Stage 2 emitters floating?

Ok, I am thinking the stage to emitters are probably an Ionocraft high powered magnet combo, this would explain how they keep moving after their link to the devise is removed… this also means the emergency shut down no mater what it is will not effect them, as most emergency shut downs just reroute power to another location preventing overload and shutting down the device. this means sense the stage to emitters are free floating and probably battery ran, they will not shut down with the emergency shut down… which makes the cascade possible with out the please fix sticker on the shut down button.

Perhaps the emergency shutdown also sends a radio signal to the stage two emitters, thereby triggering a cut to their power.

true, maybe that’s what is damaged.

I personally like the idea of them just flying off through the test chamber walls, and the cleanup team being dispatched to fix the walls and put the emitters back in their holders.

Advice for you: Don’t ever go to Japan. They have these trains that are initially attached to the rail, and then suddenly they are not. Mind = Blown.

So instead of Stage 2 Emitters they should be called The Maglev Balls?

No, nothing that happens in video games ever happens in real life.

You won’t need to go to Japan, they are gonna strike a deal with the US soon, as they are already offering them billions of dollars worth of railroad for free.

They are NOT floating.

They are falling with style.

another thing that should be noted is that at the beginning of the next map (where you wake up and the whole test chamber is wrecked), you can pick up those “stage 2 emitters” with the press of E and if you let go it falls downwards in a rather surreal fashion

maybe it is quantum mechanics???

If you’re wondering how the emitters float, and other science facts

remind yourself it’s just a game, you should really just relax

I remember the devs having a very similar conversation as this thread. In the end, they float because they just float gosh darnit!

:stuck_out_tongue:

You could try modelling an emergency catch net that can pop out from the main housing and catch the emitter housings in-motion during an emergency! Or maybe you could craft the floors and walls from bouncy castle, so the emitters could just bounce around the chamber in the event of power failure.

I kind of don’t see the point though. Why not just keep the emitters attached?

For you to ask questions.

First the thread about the one guard in the freezer being unable to move and now this. Just leave it to people to nitpick every single detail.

They float because Science.
