Spoiler for HL2 Episode 3?

Could we get a pic of the Chell grave?

Because the chances of someone having the name Chell is oh so low.

Yes, I was just covering up the other name. The Chell one is last name, and a tad blurry but here ya go, no photoshopping, cropping, color adjustment, etc. this was taken just before the one posted

So yeah, anyways, the reason we were there was a supposedly haunted lamp post, that turns off and on when you walk past it. but we didn’t find it. And no, I don’t believe in ghosts.

don’t believe in ghosts?!?! heresy

Hmm, “The Lord is my Shepherd”. Interesting in several ways. First of all is the obvious reference to Adrian Shepherd, which presumably would imply that Aperture was indeed either owned by the military or the test subjects were provided by the military due to the fact that Chell was a helpless test subject, essentially at the mercy of GLaDOS and possibly also the Aperature employees previously. This of course indicates some form of slavery or deeper rabbit hole with the Black Mesa operation. In fact, with this new connection between Aperture and the military it wouldn’t be too far out there to say that perhaps Aperture was the one who sent the soldiers to Black Mesa, indicating they weren’t there on government orders, rather to obtain any information about Black Mesa technology, exterminate any viable mental opponents in the Black Mesa staff, then destroy any hope of future competition.

Secondly, with the obvious references to Revelations in Half-Life 2 in relation to the Combine it’s hard to pass up the idea that the Combine, a term used to describe a harvesting tool in farming, is actually representative of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Take into account that Half-Life 2 is based in Russia and therefore taking the Russian Orthodox view on the Bible, it would have some strong implications as to the actual intent of the Combine. Their gathering may be for the pure, ridding the world of the rest. After all, the population of the world is being systematically exterminated as time passes by.

Wow, all of this is just incredible. First the Portal 2 thing, now this. Valve always finds the best ways to market their games.

Except the HECU is a government contracted PMC, and not under the control of Aperture Science.

That Chell looks taped on :retard:

I also feel a little uncomfortable with this whole thread… Even if nobody who knew him is alive. Not that I fear that his spirit is going to go nuts when he reads this thread (everybody up there is pretty hyped 'bout BLACK MEAS!!!) and goes on a horrific killing spree of everybody who commented on this thread… :frowning: … but still, the poor fellow is dead, lets just try treating him with respect.

Oh shit we are gonna curse the mod :fffuuu:

Or so we’ve thought to this point, these hints would imply otherwise. With a company as powerful as Aperture Science, it wouldn’t be too far out there to think that they too were perhaps also controlled by the government.

Agreed, it does look like it. And if it is, wow I’ll feel sorry for the family who come to mourn whoever it is.

It’s not taped on.

Can you get a higher quality version then?

So what are you waiting for? Get a shovel and find Freeman! Maybe he’s not dead, just in stasis, like after HL1! Which would make sense because HL2 happens in the future, so it hasn’t happened yet, so he’s in stasis right now, because he’s between HL1 and HL2. And OMG just get a shovel.

By the looks of it, Freeman only lived for 3 years.

No. Those are the years in which each respective person died.

That was the only one I took

Ah right, I see.

Well, can’t you take another one?

LMFAO at your sig

Why did he COVER GORDON’S WIFE’S NAME??!!! maybe we wanted to know!

:’(:freeman:> :frowning: :3

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
