Something Soon

This isn’t meant to be a wise-ass comment in any way, but an actual question based on the OP’s quote, because I have no idea…how much time or effort is usually involved in making a trailer or media release? Just curious.

More than you’d think. The angles have to be optimal, the action onscreen has to be perfect, and the media has to be of areas that haven’t been shown yet or people will complain.
Not to mention, after every media release, the devs lose momentum on the project for a bit.

Yeah. And to give you a better idea, the official trailer AFAIK took two weeks of continuous production to stay good to release. And this using a lot of tools in the making.

Another trailer probably would take that amount of time or even more to be up to beat the first one. You know… the community is picky and demanding. If you don’t do a good job, many will say that Black Mesa is shit, bad designed, dead or whatever.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be jerking off while it installs.

I’ve been there before. Not while watching an installer mind you, just to pass the time until it was done.

I think this pretty much sums up how I feel…

Fix’d.

Yeah, I think I’ve gotten to the point where I would have to play through the whole thing at least twice before I even believe it’s actually been released!

Well, an update about an update should settle my mind for now.

^this

Well I’m glad, guys.

Psst… Look!!! People are watching us…

lol’d at their conclusion…

News spread like a water

It spread like a fart in a full loaded elevator.

Where did they get that “Confirms A 2010 Release Date Won’t Happen” part from?
I mean, it looks possible that there won’t be a 2010 release and like I said, I just expect/wish for a release date announcement at best.
Nate’s message is teasingly vague and ambiguous, but it doesn’t seem to confirm anything other than that there will be an update near the end of 2010 or early on into 2011.

haha! Oh, man. I can’t stop laughing.

yeah, where the fuck do they get it from

Maybe they read my quote or thought alike?

I’d bet that even in these 2 or 3 weeks of building up the hype, they will find something to improve in BM and push the release date again for at least a few days or so :meh:

But anyway, I’m looking forward to the end of 2010 as everyone else does

I feel like I contributed to this.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
