Hey guys i just signed up here, but ive been lurking around the forums for about a year so i have a pretty good understanding of bm mod fyi :slight_smile:

anyways, i did some poking around and looked at some of the stats of the steam accounts of the devs (dont judge me). if you look at the “source sdk” hours, they are substantial. 1000 hours was the average numbers of hours put in. The highest “playtime” was 1947.6 and counting followed by around 1600 and then 1500.

i thought this was pretty intersting stuff, hence the title, and you guys might like to know that these guys are very hard at work. keep up the good work guys :smiley:

Dont call him a stalker. like most of us, he just wants to know that the Devs are actually doing their jobs, now that we know that they are indeed working hard, can we kill the trools screaming about “OMG THE DEVS R SO LAAAAZY! GIMME THE MOD NOW OR I WILL BE A TROLLISH FROOB!OLOLOLOL!”

Protip: I idle in source sdk a lot so I do not have to wait to start it up again. I may use model viewer for 5 seconds then nothing else for another 6 hours.

Its just a habbit because you can still play games with the sdk open.

@jameskane: if by ‘idle’ you mean ‘slaving away’ then you are correct

Now someone’s bound to misinterpret this and make it seem like the pattern of you using source sdk is 5 seconds actual use, 6 hours idle, 5 seconds actual use, 6 hours idle… (which by that stupid logic would mean you’ve only actually used source sdk for around 27 minutes…)

what if they also idle for 95% of the 15 seconds that modelviewer is running, that means the dev’s only used the sdk for about 27ms total
