good video man, I pretty much had the ideas down anyway but cheers.

I dont wanna say its a bed of roses out hear weve had allot of problems with superbugs and drug allocation. But you still can get some dam good heathcare for a good price. But there is still the private option if your rich enough or desprate enough. And with new legislation coming though that will allow people to “top up” and buy the more expensive drugs. allot of the headlines thats have been hitting the sates will disapear, and these were a minority in the first place.

I dont think the U.S should have a system just like ours, in a country that big the buarocracy would choke it. But hell there a strong case for some basic healthcare, And with enough political will, you guys could do it even better than us avoiding our fuck ups.

America doesn’t have political will. It has a mass of fighting, uncompromising politicians. Perhaps the funniest political commentary I have heard in a while was a guy noting how he had thought that now that the Democrats had a super majority in Washington, they could change America. Then he remembered, they were Democrats.

Why does it matter when the end point is it costs nothing to me other than a stay in a hospital for a while?

Even if the healthcare isn’t Canada/UK style, they gov’t could at least help medical centres say in buisness with funding throughout the recession, so we (or you, I guess) don’t have hospitals closing left, right, and centre. I’m really just commenting (from a Canadian perspective) how Socialized healthcare can work, and how it’s silly people are in the capital holding signs saying things like “Wake up and smell the socialisim” like Obama’s the incarnation of the devil for trying to improve the health of Americans.

America has always been a capitalist country in the minds of it’s citizens, and that has made us great. As such, any attempt to infringe on this capitalism are met with outrage. And rightfully so, in my opinion. Socialism is just a slow road to a dictatorship.

It is what socialism has come to mean. As such, it is understood that socialism refers to a government taking tax dollars and redistributing it in social programs on a very large scale.

Allow me to express my logic. Socialist concept give more power to the government under the guise of helping the poor and downtrodden in society. In other words, you are giving the government the power to do what they consider best for you, instead of you doing what is best for you. As you give the government more power to solve supposed social issues, you eventually get to a point where the government controls you life, and you are powerless to act against them as your entire income goes towards their social programs. Also, there is a mental correlation between insults in an argument and the perceived intelligence of the arguer. Keep that in mind.
Finally, this was a concept I came up with on my own, I have never actualy heard it on TV.

Besides, in theory, Communisim would work, it’s just that the leaders always got corrupted, so it didn’t.

Theory is worthless. People get corrupted. Socialism will fail for the same reason Communism failed. If people were as perfect as these systems required, then we wouldn’t need government. Socialism is just a slower road than communism. Also, Mattemuse, as I said, you need to rebuke my points or I have won the debate. If you say “oh you are just wrong, shut up”, then the concept just spreads, as 9/11 truth did. They had facts to back up their arguments, facts that people listened to. If there were less people like you who just say “you are beneath me” and more people who actually think, then 9/11 truth would be much less wide spread.

EDIT: Also, I’m more libertarian than Republican, but I doubt you would care about reality that interrupts you generalizations.

And that is because our capitalist economy creates companies that are not limited by the government and thus become large enough to buy massive amounts of goods from China for the American people. China’s success is because of capitalism as well.

I’m not saying that others never thought of the idea. I’m saying that I was never exposed to these viewpoints, and thus developed the same idea as they did independent of Reagan and the rest of them. Also, when did I say fascism was the basis of the new deal? The new deal was made with the best intentions, it just will ultimately lead to Fascism if we continue on that path, for reasons I have stated above.
