This is probably the most eloquent way the design process has been explained. Watch it get forgotten about.
In a way, all the (known) changes in BM are creating a situation where we see who are the fans that accept that HL1 was great but needed changes and improvements in some areas and who are those hardcore curmudgeon fans who just wanted a 1:1 recreation with modern graphics.
Proud to be part of that first group. I want BM to be a refreshment of HL, no boring rehash.
BM’s never gonna be good enough for the second group, it’s kinda sad.
On the other side - besides the waiting of course - talking and dissecting the new screenshots is all that we can do here at the moment. Even the ones from the first group

Noble idea, and I commend your efforts, but neither quotes within quotes nor links are allowed on sigs. Unless… I could just keep the link, saying “My sig’s so fat it needs it’s own post, go here to gaze on it’s behemoth size” or something like that. Thanks!

Its a shame how the very few people who dont like the changes also happen to be the most vocal. All I have to see is, the new media looks awesome! the new bullsquid looks rad and is a much more believable character now that we can see his eyes, the turret as a gameplay choice is spot on, and I cannot wait to play the full mod! I just hope you brought all this attention with good reason. Last time you would think you caused the resonance cascade or something…
Well they may be very vocal about it, but fortunately for us that won’t end up changing the game. Crybabies cry and the rest of us don’t (nor do we bother responding to idiots very often) so it’s no wonder they seem like a bigger group.
I did like the new media (especially the shot with the bullsquid - that green is awesome) but I know enough from browsing this place that it’s just a teaser - and I’m glad that it is, because I don’t want all the awesome moments revealed to me through stills, I want to play those moments and be surprised.
God forbid the bullsquid be able to see over it’s own fucking face.
