So I accidentally found a thing

I´ve been checking https://www.bmrf.us in weekly basis for a long time and now it´s down. Then I stumbled into this. Guess we have a release date now.

I don’t think this is related to us. It may be third party, or a test site Hubi was working on. It’s not accurate, at any rate!

Yeah, should´ve realized something this random wouldn´t probably be legit. It just seemed so well made that I thought it was real… :stuck_out_tongue: But what´s with bmrf.us, though?

This countdown is pointing to 31th, December, the final day of 2017, so we can’t get definite information from it. Just wait for the official announcement.

Did a whois lookup on it. Its not official as its not registered to any member of the team.

The first giveaway is that Valve and Steam are not mentioned on the bottom.

A developer has already responded saying as much.
WHOIS does not work on that site because the domain’s privacy is protected by domainprivacygroup.com, so there is no way you can tell who registered it.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
