There’s something unrealistic about those gibs, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
it’s just a test model, the gibs aren’t completly correct, the origins of the models are wrong
I was more thinking of the people walking around sans arms and feet.
that only happens via concommand, otherwise the gib stuff only gets called in the event_killed function.

now can you do it with each body part being able to take damage and look injured (and the NPC behave accordingly), without falling off, and then falling off after severe damage?

I thought the face on the picture looked too thin, the one he made looks more realistic, but that’s just my view obviously.
uhm… probably doable, I think about it, thanks for the suggestion 
both are realistic, but it changes the characteristic face of gordon if you make his face wider.
Don’t forget that he’s a doctor, kind of a rampage nerd ;P. So he has to look somewhat eggheadish ;P.
Then of course there’s the drawing I did of my interpretation of GlaDOS as a human. Not really new or anything but I’ve always been pretty proud of how it came out. :3
