black spots.

Whoa.

That’s pretty cool, what’s it for? :stuck_out_tongue:

Bloody hell that looks impressive king_kaddo

That will be a remake of the training room in Halo (the first room).
I made this today and I am far away from finishing it.
Maybe I will make the whole level if I am in the mood.
I love Halo’s level designs. This is just a copy.

you copied that too exactly. spruice it up with your own vision

He didn’t say it was final, did he? Just looked like architecture to me. I’m sure it’ll be spruced up in the coming days and hours.

This is the first “real” map I work on. Previous maps I made are full with tutorial stuff. Now I have to learn how to design maps by my own. Therefore I need a lot of inspiration and ideas from professional maps. First I will copy everything so I can understand and learn what makes a map look good and makes it interesting for the player. Basicly the key elements of map design. Then I will start to realise my own ideas.

days and hours?
no
weeks and months.

Try making a map that includes Hunters as the main enemy, or base it in an underground bunker that’s got water on the floor in some places, or even base it on the Moon where you’re fighting in humanity’s off-world base against the combine transhuman army.

Moon’s gravity + Hunters. Dear lord.

A simple test render of a WIP, materials thrown on with haste, and messed up pink lights because of 2.49b:

Needs more companion cube heart.

It would be awesome though. Right?

It would skyrocket Hunters straight into space.

Modify the geometry for turbosmoothing (or whatever you call it in Blender).

Turbosmoothing…? Me no understand.

Geometric tessalation technically, tough in most programs, the tools are just called meshsmooth or turbosmooth or stuff like that.
