I know that he has a Zim fanfic, and even Zim-related stuff that comes pretty damn close to rule 34 (damn you for that as well).

I was kind of hoping he would say the style I like sucks (seeing as he started resolving to childish remarks like “UR MOM LOLOLOLOLOL”, sounds like something he’d say as well).

And Ramirezoid: I agree, he really evolved over a rather short period of time. If you compare his first few JTHMs to the stuff he posts at his blog these days (https://www.questionsleep.com, for those that don’t know), you can obviously see how he refined his style.

Half-dude also seems to have mixed up my post and took my two points, the one on the (art)style not being my cup of tea, creating some sort of belief that I hate every bit about it because it’s about porn with GLaDOS.

I started using Source Hammer for the first time 3 days ago, still learning but I’m working on a map for Alien Swarm. Here’s a room I just finished (apart from lighting and overused HDR/bloom):

Hammer is very much like the editor I used in Call of Duty, except that it’s ten times better. I remember having to write scripts and do all sorts of stuff just to get simple stuff like fire and sound, in Hammer I just drop an entity and give it some values. :awesome:

Nice. Might I suggest sprucing up the floors a bit. When it comes to level design for alien swarm, the floor needs to be the center piece of focus, considering thats what your looking at 100% of the time. There are ALOT of good “floor” models you can use. Check em out.

Yea I have some dirt decals on the floor but they’re hard to see with the test lighting I’m using, I put a lot of breakables in this room since you’ll be shooting aliens in it so it would be nice to see all kinds of stuff blowing up while you kill aliens.

The map is set on an old spaceship, so I have to use ‘dirty’ textures, this is the best floor texture I could find. Maybe I’ll add some panels to floor but they will probably not blend well with the rest.
